Charlotte Reading Web "Shop, Drop & Read"

Saturday, November 15th, 9:00-noon at Prosperity Park Clubhouse. Our “Reading Wonderland” will give students the opportunity to learn and have fun while you shop for their holiday gifts! The students will participate in hands-on reading games and science projects. The activities will include FROZEN letter games, writing words in shaving cream, and creating words with snowflakes. One of the fun science experiments will include creating FROZEN silly putty! The kids will work on their knowledge of letters, sounds, and sight words through reading games. There will be lots of moving and exploring throughout the session!  Lunch will be provided (pizza).  Cost is $25 for first child, $10 for second. For ages 3-6. *Must be Potty Trained. Outdoor Holiday Lighting Contest

Any homeowner who would like to have their home judged for the contest MUST REGISTER by December 5, 2014. ONLY those homes registered will be judged during the contest period.

The contest will run from 6:00pm on Monday December 8, 2014 through 11:00pm on Sunday, December 14, 2014. We are looking for volunteers to help judge homes.  Please email consuelo@consuelosouders.com if interested.

"Please Pass the Peas" Youth Etiquette Class

Sunday, November 9th, 1-4 p.m. at Prosperity Park Clubhouse.  Cost is $20 per child for ages 7-12.  A snack and beverage will be provided.

This well thought-out class is based on proper etiquette, setting the table, phone manners and much more!  Spaces are limited.  Must be a Highland Creek resident and current on your HOA dues to participate.

Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, October 26 from 2:00-5:00pm at Prosperity Park.  There are activites for the whole family!  Rock Climb Adventure Slide, Ultimate Race Inflatable, Bounce House, Pony Rides, Costume Contest, Mummy Wrap Contest, Festival Games, Pumpkin Painting, and Taste and Vote "People's Choice Award" for Chili Cook-Off (2pm-4pm).

Kids Holiday Gift Grab for Ages 11+

Saturday, December 13th, 1:00pm-2:00pm at the Sports Club.  Each child is asked to bring a $10 wrapped gift to this activity (ex. gift cards, movie, game, etc).  They will play a game where they get to unwrap a gift and the next child will get to grab the gift just opened or select to open from the pile of unwrapped gifts.  Beware, the game might change and the best gift could go to anyone regardless of the order the gifts were unwrapped!

Kids Holiday Cookie Exchange for Ages 5-10

Saturday, December 13th, 11:00am-noon at the Sports Club for ages 5 to 10.  Each child is asked to bring 25 home-made cookies (free of peanut products) with them to the activity.  Each child will be given a tin to take their cookies home with them.  Fun games to play and prizes to win!

Registration opens November 14th.
