Garage Sale

October 5th 7:00-11:00am (there is no rain date for the sale)

The sale will be held at two locations, Christenbury Park parking lot (6213 Bells Mill Dr) AND University Child Development Center parking lot (6025 Clarke Creek Pkwy)

Salvation Army will be set up at Prosperity Park parking lot from 10:00am – 2:00pm on October 5th.  An attendant will be on-site to write receipts.  All residents are welcome to take advantage of the Salvation Army truck even if they are NOT participating in the garage sale. The Salvation Army will NOT accept: air conditioners, carpet/carpet padding, chemicals of any kind, conference tables, countertops or cabinets that have to be installed, curtain rods, dental equipment, desks longer than 5 feet or L-shaped or U-shaped or particle board, entertainment centers, furnaces, garage door openers, firearms or ammo, plastic hangers, hot water heaters, magazines, office copiers, pianos or organs, paint of any kind, sinks or toilets, store fixtures, chandeliers, ceiling fans, sofas or couches longer than 12 foot, swing sets.

Charlotte’s Reading Web “Fall Festival”

October 5th at Prosperity Park Clubhouse, 4:00 – 7:00pm, ages 3–7.  *Must be Potty Trained!

Dinner will be provided (hotdogs and a surprise side!) Cost is $30 for the first child/$22 for the second child.

This awesome festival will keep your little readers and scientists busy all evening! The students will participate in hands-on reading games and science projects. We will have a “Super Reader” theme for the event! The students will learn to use their super powers through reading games! One of the hands-on science projects includes making slime. The kids will work on their knowledge of letters, sounds, and sight words through reading games such as BINGO, Musical Chairs, and the “Tricky Spider.” Reading in the dark is ALWAYS a favorite for all the kiddos! There will be lots of moving and exploring throughout the evening!

Harvest Festival & Chili Cook Off

Join us October 26th, 2:00-5:00pm at Prosperity Park for a fun day for the whole family!  Festival activities, chili cook-off and hot dog eating contest!

Pumpkin Painting, 40’ Obstacle Challenge, 26’ Triple Lindy Slide, Halloween Bounce House Combo, Animal Land Toddler Combo, Carnival Tent, Pony Rides, Costume Contest (3:00pm), Mummy Wrap Contest (4:00pm and 4:15pm) and Taste & Vote “People’s Choice Award” for Chili Cook-Off at 2:00pm. Also enjoy free popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream and a “candy bar”!

Chili Cook-Off – Highland Creek is looking for just the right spice and your culinary twist!  Click here for Registration Information and Rules & Regulations.  $15 to enter your best chili recipe (one entry per household).  Only 8 participants accepted!

$Cash$ or gift card prizes to winners for each chili category to include:  People’s Choice (1st & 2nd), Judges Choice, Just the Right Spice, Most Original Recipe and Best Booth Décor.  Chili Cook-Off tasting will run from 2:00pm – 4:00pm OR until chili runs out!

Hot Dog Eating Contest (sponsored by Brian Souders, Supreme Lending) – Participants will battle to eat 5 hot dogs with buns the fastest!  The winner leaves with a $50 gift card!  Ages 18 and up only.  Register here.
