Neighborhood Representative
These Neighbor Representatives vote for the Board of Directors They also provide input to the Board on issues from the HOA.
Each of the 49 Neighborhoods within Highland Creek needs a representative and an alternative, so that means we need 98 volunteers in total. Every year, we do not have enough volunteers and that negatively impacts the operation of our HOA.
This is a very low time commitment. The bare minimum is that you attend the annual meeting each September, which is about two hours, as well as any Special Meetings, if any. But, if you are able to do so, we prefer you attend all the meetings of the Advisory members, which would be a total commitment of about 12 hours per year.
These meetings are a forum to learn about and provide input from your neighborhood on how the HOA is run. The meetings are held the third Tuesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) starting at 6:30pm and are held at the Sports Club.
Each summer we seek self-nominations to be a Neighborhood Representatives to represent each of the 49 Neighborhoods. Please watch for those emails.
However, due to occasional mid-year resignations (such as the case of where a Neighborhood Representative moves out of the community), we occasionally have openings throughout the year. If you wish to be added to a list to be a nominee for those openings as they arise, please send an email to highlandcreek@wmdouglas.com and specify you wish to be placed on a list to be considered for an open future a Neighborhood Representative position, plus a telephone number and your Neighborhood name.
