Highland Creek Fitness Classes
All fitness classes require a Highland Creek ID for participation.
Due to COVID-19, all in-person fitness classes at the Sports Club have been suspended until further notice. See below for instructors offering online classes via ZOOM.
Adult Yoga Classes – Classes are held at the Sports Club every Monday, 6:30 – 8:00pm. Cost is $10 per class. Students are encouraged to bring their own mat and bottle of water. For more information – www.DivineShantiYoga.com.
Chair Yoga Classes – Classes are held at the Sports Club every Monday from 11:30am – 12:30pm, and Thursday from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Cost is $5 per class.
Pre-Grounded Yoga Classes – Pre-grounded yoga is designed for kids ages 3-5 to practice Grounded yoga poses, chanting, body and breath awareness, and yoga games. Cost is $5 per class. Students should bring their own mat or towel to practice. Classes are held every Wednesday and Thursday morning from 9:30-10:00 a.m. outside at Prosperity Park. Classes begin Wednesday, September 30th and continue through October and then November, if weather allows. Contact Heather Hopkins at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Yoga & STEM Classes – This weekly class combines Grounded Kids yoga with a storybook-based STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) challenge. Appropriate for students in grades K-3. Cost is $10 per class. Students should bring their own mat to practice. Classes are held every Thursday afternoon from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. outside at Prosperity Park. Tai Chi Classes – Classes are held at the Sports Club every Tuesday at 10:00am. Cost is $8 per class. FREE daily Tai Chi classes are being offered at 9:00 a.m. through the online Zoom platform. Contact Karen Koutsky at firstname.lastname@example.org or 704-929-1015 for more information.
Zumba Classes – NEW! Beginning November 7th, an outdoor Zumba class will be available at 9:00am on Saturdays near the Sports Club basketball court OR join LIVE virtual classes on Wednesdays 6:00pm and Thursdays 7:00pm. For more information, contact Candra Davis at email@example.com or 704-286-6563.
