Waste Management Services

Due to COVID-19, the following changes are in place:

  • City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services is only collecting garbage and recycling at this time.  Yard waste and bulk item collection is suspended for 30 days or until further notice. Residents are asked to please store any yard waste or bulk items out of sight from the street until the City resumes normal services again. UPDATE: On Monday, April 27th, Solid Waste Services will begin a one-time sweep of the City to remove yard waste from the recent storm and early season yard maintenance. Residents are advised to put their yard waste at the curb prior to Monday, April 27th for collection and leave it until it is collected. Note that limited crews will be deployed for collection, which means yard waste collection may take longer than that week. THIS WILL BE A ONE-TIME COLLECTION. The city does not have any other yard waste collection scheduled. • Garbage, recycle and yard waste pick up services continue as normal for now for residents who reside on the Cabarrus side of Highland Creek with the exception of curbside collection of mattresses.  Additional information about Concord’s solid waste services can be viewed at this link:  www.concordnc.gov/whatsmyday.
