October 3rd – National Coffee with a Cop Day, 8:00-10:00am at Dunkin Donuts, 8845 Christenbury Parkway.  Click here for additional locations in Concord.

October 21st – Jazz Night at Barista Craft, 7:00-9:00pm.  Free admission.  Featuring The Brian Gilbert Quartet.  Visit their Facebook page.

September 22nd – Market and Show Fall Expo, 10:00am – 6:00pm at Oasis Shriners, 604 Doug Mayes Place, Charlotte.  Complimentary tickets are available to Highland Creek residents when you register at https://MarketandShow.eventbrite.com, use discount code Highland.  Questions can be directed to MarketandShow@Gmail.com.

September 26th– Musical Bingo – every 4th Wednesday of the month, 2:00pm at the Laurels (6101 Clarke Creek Parkway).  Songs from the past, prizes and refreshments!  RSVP to Dawn or Liz at 704-947-8050.

September 28th, October 26th – Comedy Night at Barista Craft, 8:00-10:00pm at Barista Craft.  Free admission.  Featuring local comedians.  Visit their Facebook page.

September 29th – Raven Run 5K Run/Walk, 4:00pm at Ridge Road Middle School.  All proceeds will go to Ridge Road Athletic Booster Club. The funds will be used for things such as purchasing new bleachers, field maintenance, proper nutrition for athletes, equipment, uniforms, awards, etc.  Must register by September 9th to guarantee shirt size.  Click here to register.

Monthly Parkinson’s Support Group – 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12pm in the community room at The Laurels * 6101 Clarke Creek Pkwy*  People with Parkinson’s face new challenges every day. While there’s still no cure, sharing your experiences can make each day a little easier. Join others for therapeutic interactive activities and lean on neighbors who understand.  Light lunch will be provided.  For questions, or to RSVP, call 704-947-8050.

Alzheimer’s Association Monthly Support Group4th Wednesday of each month at 12pm in the community room at The Haven • 5920 McChesney Drive • Please join us and your neighbors as we share stories, encouragement, and advice on how to cope with the diagnosis. Our facilitator will guide the discussion, share information about area resources, and help participants connect with families who understand.  Light lunch will be provided.  For questions, or to RSVP, call 704-947-8050.
